Dr. Cesar Rivera grew up on the Agua Prieta/Douglas border. He attended the University of Arizona where he obtained a BS in Biology. After graduation, he attended A. T. Still University Missouri School of Dentistry in St. Louis, Mo. After receiving his DMD, Dr. Rivera completed a dual degree residency program, completing his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center while simultaneously earning his M.D. degree from Texas Tech University.
His training included a year in general surgery and rotations in trauma surgery, head and neck surgery, and anesthesiology. During his residency at Baylor, he was trained in full-scope oral & maxillofacial surgery, with an emphasis on trauma surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ replacement and complex dental implantology. In his free time, Dr. Rivera enjoys spending time with his wife, going to movie theaters, traveling, watching Formula 1, football, soccer, and rooting for Barcelona and Mexico.
Dr. Rivera is fluent in English and Spanish, and is primarily at our Northwest, Rita Ranch and Sierra Vista locations.
